Martha Louise, Princess of Monaco (born Princess Martha Louise of Norway on 22 September 1971) is a member of the Monegasque Princely Family as the current Princess consort. She is also a member of the Norwegian Royal Family as the daughter of Harald V, King of Norway, as well as the Swedish Royal Family as the niece of Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden.

Life[edit | edit source]

Martha Louise was born the eldest child and only daughter of Harald V, King of Norway and Princess Christina of Sweden. She was born without succession rights to the Norwegian throne, but was added to the line of succession in 1990.

Martha Louise became Princess of Monaco upon the death of her father-in-law in 2005. From 2002, she served as First Lady of the Monegasque Court for her father-in-law.

Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]

On 24 May 2002, Martha Louise married Albert II, Prince of Monaco in Monaco-Ville. The couple have five children, Maud, Lea, Amelia, Gabriella, and Jacques.
