Alexander was born the third child and youngest son of '''Alexander II, King of Yugoslavia''' and '''Princess Maria da Gloria of Brazil'''.

Alexander's wife ascended to the throne of Sweden on 13 July 2026. 

==Marriage and Issue==
On 14 September 2013, Alexander married '''Ingrid, Crown Princess of Sweden''' in Stockholm. Alexander and Ingrid have three older daughters, '''Victoria, Louise,''' and '''Alice'''. On 20 September 2025, it was announced that the couple were expecting their fourth child. On 8 March 2026, Ingrid gave birth to a daughter, '''Mary'''.
