Carlo succeeded his father as Duke of Parma in 2010.

==Marriage and Issue==
On 7 October 2009, Carlo's engagement to [[Princess Luisa of Brazil]] was announced. The couple were set to be married on 28 August 2010, however the declining health of the Duke of Parma led to a postponement of the wedding. The couple were eventually married in Parma on 20 November 2010.
