'''Nicholas''' was born the younger son of '''Prince Franz Wilhelm of Prussia''' and '''Grand Duchess Maria Vladimirovna of Russia'''. 

In 2017, Nicholas' mother-in-law ascended to the throne of Romania, and his wife was named Crown Princess. Shortly after, Nicholas was named Prince of Romania by Queen Margareta and the family moved to Romania to work full-time for the royal family. 

==Marriage and Issue==
On 4 August 2010, Nicholas married '''Princess Anne of Romania''' in Bucharest. The couple have three children, '''Michael, Amalia,''' and '''Ferdinand'''.
