Madeleine was born the eldest child of '''Georg Friedrich, Emperor of Germany''' and '''Princess Katherine of York'''.

In 2019, her father amended Prussian succession law to allow for female inheritance, and named Madeleine as Crown Princess. She will succeed her father as the first reigning Empress of Germany and Queen of Prussia.
