==Life==
Tatiana was born the fourth child and second daughter of '''Gustav Albrecht, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg''' and '''Margareta d'Ortrante'''.

When Tatiana married her husband, she marred into the Finnish Royal Family as the wife of the future king. However, one year after their marriage, Moritz's father renounced his rights to succeed to the Finnish throne in favor of his younger brother shortly after he was named heir to the Grand Duchy of Hesse by his distant cousin, '''[[Grand Duke Louis V of Hesse|Louis V]]'''. In 1968, her husband was named Hereditary Grand Duke of Hesse and the couple moved to Hesse from Finland. 

==Marriage and Issue==
On 1 June 1964, Tatiana married '''Prince Moritz of Finland'''. Tatiana and Moritz had four children, '''Mafalda, Donatus, Elena,''' and '''Filip'''.

Moritz and Tatiana unofficially separated in 1974, but did not divorce and continued to perform public duties together until Moritz's death in 2013.
