Wilhelm III, King of Wurttemberg (born Prince Wilhelm of Wurttemberg on 13 August 1994) is the current King of Wurttemberg. He is also a member of the Austrian Imperial Family as the son-in-law of Charles II, Emperor of Austria.
Life[edit | edit source]
Wilhelm was born the only son of Crown Prince Friedrich of Wurttemberg and Princess Marie of Wied.
In 2018, Wilhelm's father died in an automobile accident, and Wilhelm became heir to his grandfather. His grandfather named him Crown Prince in July of 2019.
Wilhelm is godfather to Princess Alice of Sweden and Archduke Charles of Austria.
Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]
On 13 March 2019, Wilhelm's engagement to Archduchess Eleonore of Austria was announced. The couple were married in Stuttgart on 20 July 2020 to great fanfare.
Eleonore and Wilhelm welcomed their first child, Otto, in 2021. Their second son, Ludwig, was born in 2024.
