Victoria, Queen of Italy (born Victoria, Princess of Piedmont on 12 November 1985) is the current reigning Queen of Italy. She is also a member of the Romanian Royal Family as the niece of Margareta, Queen of Romania and the Hanoverian Royal Family as the niece-in-law of Ernest Augustus V, King of Hanover.

Life[edit | edit source]

Victoria was born the eldest child of King Victor Emmanuel IV of Italy and Princess Irina of Romania. She is the first Italian princess to be born with succession rights that could not be superseded by the birth of a younger brother.

Victoria ascended the throne as the first Queen regnant of Italy upon her father's death in 2024.

Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]

On 16 June 2012, Victoria married Prince Otto Heinrich of Hanover in Rome. Victoria and Otto Heinrich have four children, Umberto, Felicitas, Giovanna, and Isabella.
