Valerie, Dowager Grand Duchess of Baden (born Archduchess Valerie of Austria on 23 May 1941) is a member of the Baden Grand Ducal Family as the mother of Bernhard, Grand Duke of Baden.

Life

Valerie was born the ninth child and seventh daughter of Archduke Hubert Salvator of Austria and Princess Rosemary of Salm-Salm.

Marriage and Issue

On 23 September 1966, Valerie married Grand Duke Maximilian II of Baden in Karlsruhe. Maximilian and Valerie had four children, Marie Louise, Bernhard, Leopold, and Michael.

Valerie was widowed in 2022.
