Konrad, Duke of Saxe-Meiningen (born Konrad, Hereditary Duke of Saxe-Meiningen on 14 April 1952) is the current reigning Duke of Saxe-Meiningen.

Life

Konrad was born the second child and only son of Duke Bernhard IV of Saxe-Meiningen and Vera von Bernstein.

He succeeded to the throne upon the death of his father in 1984.

Konrad is unmarried and has no legitimate issue. His heiress presumptive is his elder sister, Princess Eleonore, who is also without issue. It is presumed that Eleonore will be followed by her younger sister, Almut, Baroness Braunschweig, and his descendants.
