Elisabeth, Grand Duchess of Baden (born Princess Elisabeth of Bavaria on 4 October 1973) is a member of the Baden Grand Ducal Family as the current Grand Duchess consort. She is also a member of the Bavarian Royal Family as the niece of Franz, King of Bavaria.

Life

Elisabeth was born the fourth child of Max, Crown Prince of Bavaria and Countess Elisabeth Douglas.

Her husband ascended the throne of Baden on 29 December 2022 upon the death of his father.

Marriage and Issue

On 22 June 2001, Elisabeth married Bernhard, Hereditary Grand Duke of Baden. Bernhard and Elisabeth have three sons, Leopold, Friedrich, and Karl Wilhelm.
