Boris, Prince of Turnovo (born Prince Boris of Turnovo on 12 October 1997) is a member of the Bulgarian Royal Family as the grandson and heir of Simeon II, Tsar of Bulgaria. He is also a member of the Portuguese Royal Family as the son-in-law of Duarte III, King of Portugal.
Life
Boris was born the eldest child and son of Kardam, Prince of Turnovo and Archduchess Viridis of Austria.
Boris became heir to his grandfather upon his father's death in 2015. In 2018, the tsar named Boris Prince of Turnovo, the traditional title for the heir to the Bulgarian throne.
Marriage and Issue
On 7 October 2023, Boris married Infanta Maria Francisca, Duchess of Coimbra in Sofia.
On 7 January 2025, it was announced that Boris and Maria Francisca were expecting their first child together. On 6 July 2025, Maria Francisca gave birth to a daughter, Elena.
