Wilhelm III, King of Wurttemberg (born Prince Wilhelm of Wurttemberg on 13 August 1994) is the current King of Wurttemberg. He is also a member of the Austrian Imperial Family as the son-in-law of Charles II, Emperor of Austria.

Life

Wilhelm was born the only son of Crown Prince Friedrich of Wurttemberg and Princess Marie of Wied.

In 2018, Wilhelm's father died in an automobile accident, and Wilhelm became heir to his grandfather. His grandfather named him Crown Prince in July of 2019.

Marriage and Issue

On 13 March 2019, Wilhelm's engagement to Archduchess Eleonore of Austra was announced. The couple were married in Stuttgart on 20 July 2020 to great fanfare.

Eleonore and Wilhelm welcomed their first child, Otto, in 2021. Their second son, Ludwig, was born in 2024.
