Viridis, Dowager Princess of Turnovo (born Archduchess Viridis of Austria on 22 September 1961) is a member of the Bulgarian Royal Family as the daughter-in-law of Simeon II, Tsar of Bulgaria. She is also a member of the extended Austrian Imperial Family as the granddaughter of Emperor Charles I of Austria.
Life
Viridis was born the seventh and youngest child of Archduke Felix of Austria and Princess Anna Eugenie of Arenberg.
In 2008, Viridis and her husband were involved in a serious car accident near Sofia. Viridis eventually recovered, however Kardam suffered severe brain trauma and injuries to his hands. He passed away from a lung infection in 2015.
Marriage and Issue
On 11 July 1996, Viridis married Kardam, Prince of Turnovo. Kardam and Viridis had three children together, Boris, Beltran, and Mariana.
