Albert II, Prince of Monaco (born Albert, Hereditary Prince of Monaco on 14 March 1958) is the current reigning Prince of Monaco. He is also a member of the Norwegian Royal Family as the son-in-law of Harald V, King of Norway, as well as the Swedish Royal Family as the nephew-in-law of Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden.

Life

Albert was born the second child and only son of Rainier III, Prince of Monaco and Grace Kelly.

Albert succeeded to the throne upon the death of his father in 2005.

Marriage and Issue

On 24 May 2002, Albert married Princess Martha Louise of Norway in Monaco-Ville. The couple have five children, Maud, Lea, Amelia, Gabriella, and Jacques.
