Alexander II, King of Yugoslavia (born Alexander, Crown Prince of Yugoslavia on 17 July 1945) is the current reigning King of Yugoslavia. He is also a member of the Brazilian Imperial Family as the brother-in-law of Pedro V, Emperor of Brazil.

Life[edit | edit source]

Alexander was born the only child of King Peter II of Yugoslavia and Princess Alexandra of Greece.

He was born Crown Prince of Yugoslavia and succeeded to the throne after the death of his father in 1970.

Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]

On 1 July 1972, Alexander married Princess Maria da Gloria of Brazil in Belgrade. The couple have five children, Peter, Philip, Alexander, Jelena, and Olga.
