Hubertus, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha (born Prince Hubertus of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha on 16 April 1975) is the current reigning Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha. He is also a member of the Schleswig-Holstein Ducal Family as the brother-in-law of Friedrich Ferdinand II, Duke of Schleswig-Holstein, as well as the Romanian Royal Family as the nephew of Margareta, Queen of Romania.

Life

Hubertus was born the second child and elder son of Duke Andreas of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and Princess Elena of Romania.

Hubertus became Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha upon the death of his father in 2025.

Marriage and Issue

On 23 May 2009, Hubertus married Princess Sophie of Schleswig-Holstein in Coburg. The couple have three children, Katharina, Philipp, and Madeleine.
