Queen Caroline of Hanover (born Princess Caroline of Monaco on 23 January 1957) is a member of the Hanoverian Royal Family as the current Queen consort. She is also a member of the Monegasque Princely Family as the sister of Albert II, Prince of Monaco.

Life

Caroline was born the eldest child of Rainier III, Prince of Monaco and Grace Kelly. She was her father's heiress presumptive until the birth of her younger brother.

Caroline became Queen consort of Hanover upon the death of her father-in-law in 1987.

Marriage and Issue

On 30 August 1981 Caroline married Ernest Augustus, Crown Prince of Hanover in Hanover. The couple have six children, Ernest Augustus, Andreas, Christian, Charlotte, Peter, and Alexandra.
