Princess Marie Caroline of Brazil (born Princess Marie Caroline of Liechtenstein on 17 October 1996) is a member of the Brazilian Imperial Family as the daughter-in-law of Pedro V, Emperor of Brazil. She is also a member of the Liechtenstein Princely Family as the granddaughter of Hans Adam II, Prince of Liechtenstein.
Life[edit | edit source]
Marie Caroline was born the second child and only daughter of Alois, Hereditary Prince of Liechtenstein and Princess Sophie of Bavaria.
Should her brother-in-law, Pedro Tiago, Prince Imperial of Brazil, not produce any legitimate issue, Marie Caroline's husband will eventually ascend the throne as Emperor of Brazil.
Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]
On 23 January 2023, Marie Caroline married Prince Felipe of Brazil in Vaduz. On 17 August 2025, it was announced that Felipe and Marie Caroline were expecting their first child. On 24 April 2026, Marie Caroline gave birth to a son, Rafael.
