Marie Luise, Princess of Schaumburg-Lippe (born Princess Marie Luise of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg on 25 September 1972) is a member of the Schaumburg-Lippe Princely Family as the current Princess consort. She is also a member of the Prussian nobility as the sister of Gustav, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg, as well as the Danish Royal Family as the niece of Margrethe II, Queen of Denmark.

Marie Luise was born the third child and second daughter of Richard II, Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg and Princess Benedikte of Denmark.
Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]
On 27 August 1993 in Buckeburg, Marie Luise married Alexander, Hereditary Prince of Schaumburg-Lippe. The couple have three children, Heinrich Donatus, Felipa, and Philomena. Felipa and Philomena were born after Alexander and Marie Luise reconciled after an unofficial separation.
