Shortly after, Albrecht's sister-in-law, Sophie, Hereditary Princess of Liechtenstein, renounced succession rights for herself and her descendants in favor of Albrecht's wife. Later that month, the Wurttemberg court announced that Albrecht and his family would move to Bavaria to support King Franz and Crown Prince Max.
In 2024, upon their move to Bavaria, King Franz bestowed the title of Prince/Princess of Bavaria on Albrecht and his children.
