Ernest Augustus, Crown Prince of Hanover (born Prince Ernest Augustus of Hanover on 19 July 1983) is a member of the Hanoverian Royal Family as the son and heir of Ernest Augustus V, King of Hanover. He is also a member of the Monegasque Princely Family as the nephew of Albert II, Prince of Monaco as well as the Swedish Royal Family as the son-in-law of Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden.
Life[edit | edit source]
Ernest Augustus was born the eldest child of Ernest Augustus V, King of Hanover and Princess Caroline of Monaco.
He became heir apparent to the Hanoverian throne upon the death of his grandfather in 1987.
Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]
On 8 July 2017, Ernest Augustus married Princess Margaretha of Sweden in Hanover. The couple have four children, Elisabeth, Welf August, Eleanora, and Eloise.
