Prince Alexander Philip of Anhalt (born Prince Alexander Philip of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha on 4 May 1977) is a member of the Anhalt Ducal Family as the son-in-law of Eduard II, Duke of Anhalt. He is also a member of the Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Ducal Family as the brother of Hubertus, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, as well as the Austrian Imperial Family as the nephew-in-law of Charles II, Emperor of Austria.

Life[edit | edit source]

Alexander Philip was born the third and youngest child of Duke Andreas of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and Princess Elena of Romania.

In 2010, his wife was named Hereditary Duchess of Anhalt and he subsequently moved with his family to Anhalt. Shortly after, he was named a Prince of Anhalt by his father-in-law.

Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]

On 12 July 2008, Alexander Philip married Katharina, Hereditary Duchess of Anhalt in Dessau. The couple have one child, Maxime.
