Katharina, Hereditary Duchess of Anhalt (born Princess Katharina of Anhalt on 14 December 1980) is a member of the Anhalt Ducal Family as the daughter of Eduard II, Duke of Anhalt. She is also a member of the Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Ducal Family as the sister-in-law of Hubertus, Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, as well as the Austrian Imperial Family as the niece of Charles II, Emperor of Austria.

Life

Katharina was born the eldest child of Eduard II, Duke of Anhalt and Archduchess Gabriela of Austria.

From 2008 to 2010, Katharina was a working member of the Saxe-Coburg and Gotha Ducal Family. In 2010, Katharina was named Hereditary Duchess of Anhalt by her father, and she subsequently moved back to Anhalt with her family.

Marriage and Issue

On 12 July 2008, Katharina married Prince Alexander Philip of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha in Dessau. The couple have one child, Maxime.
