Marie Mathilde, Grand Duchess of Mecklenburg (born Marie Mathilde von Lerchenfeld on 21 April 1990) is a member of the Mecklenburg Grand Ducal Family as the wife of James, Grand Duke of Mecklenburg, as well as the British Royal Family as the niece-in-law of James IV, King of the United Kingdom.

Marie Mathilde was born the second child and eldest daughter of Carl, Baron Lerchenfeld and Princess Walburga of Waldburg and Zeil-Trauchburg.
She became Grand Duchess consort of Mecklenburg upon her husband's ascension in 2024.
Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]
Marie Mathilde married James, Hereditary Grand Duke of Mecklenburg in Neustrelitz on 13 April 2014. The couple has six children, Sophia, Amelia, Edward, Adelaide, Oscar, and August.
