Prince Louis of Luxembourg (born 3 August 1986) is a member of the Luxembourg Grand Ducal Family as the son of Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg.
Life[edit | edit source]
Louis was born the third child of Henri, Grand Duke of Luxembourg and Infanta Maria Teresa of Spain.
Louis renounced his succession rights for himself and his descendants upon his 2009 marriage, however in 2016 those rights were restored.
Marriage and Issue[edit | edit source]
Louis met Luxembourgian commoner Tessy Antony during military training in 2004. She gave birth to their first son, Gabriel, out of wedlock in 2006. The couple wed later that year and went on to have three more children, Noah, Theodor, and Josephine. The marriage was initially considered morganatic, but Tessy was made a Princess of Luxembourg, and their two eldest sons Princes of Nassau, by Grand Ducal decree in 2009.
