Life
Elisabeth was born the second child and elder daughter of Count Carl Ludwig Douglas and Ottora Maria Haas-Heye.
Since 1983, Elisabeth has served as First Lady of the Bavarian Royal court, for both her father-in-law and brother-in-law.
Marriage and Issue
On 24 January 1967, Elisabeth married Prince Max of Bavaria in Flen, Sweden. The couple have five daughters, Sophie, Marie Caroline, Helena, Elisabeth, and Maria Anna.
